You would be surprised with how many people in your life could be going through depression at this very moment.  People hide it like a paper bag over their heads out of fear of being judged, made fun of, seen as weak, or just not taken seriously.  Depression should not be taken lightly, it holds us down from our purpose and potential in life.  Those who tell you that it doesn’t exist have never experienced depression in their life, therefore not understanding the symptoms and how it’s something that cannot be fixed in a day!  So if you think you are depressed or if you think you know someone else who is, please talk to a friend, a family member, or anyone else in your life that you trust - never overlook the possibility of seeing a doctor for more professional help!!  Your feelings are real, your feelings are shared upon millions.  Don’t hide it, talk to someone about it.  With the right help, you can rediscover your confidence and begin life anew with our undying love and support!

We are right here!!

“Sweetheart, you can love when he stays up for 6 hours talking to you.
You can love when he accepts your broken pieces and reveals his own to you.
You can love the shy, gentle hugs he gives you before you start dating.
You can love the awkward but cute way he words asking you to be his ball date, and then his girlfriend.
You can love the fact that even when he’s on the other side of the world he spends hours talking to you, telling you how much he wishes he could be home to talk to you.
You can love the way he hesitates before kissing you passionately the first time your lips finally meet.
You can love the way he doesn’t overuse his compliments and makes them sound sincere.
You can love the way he looks at you and touches you like you are the most beautiful thing he’s ever laid eyes on.
You can love every single thing he says and does.
But sweetheart, please do not let him be your happiness, because sometimes the person you love most in the world doesn’t stay, and I don’t want to see you crumble without him.”

Is Sherlock Watson good enough for you?

I just realized that in this godforsaken scene:

When Sherlock says “I think it could work”

He’s saying I think the name Sherlock Watson could work”

And then John, still laughing, realizes what he just heard and does a sort of puzzled look back up at Sherlock:

And Sherlock just:

And in conclusion, we’re not exactly looking at an aborted declaration of love.

Oh god, this hurts so good. I can’t stop feeling over this (>_<)

Holy. Crap. I just found an email argument between me and some random internet person about evolution and creationism. Apparently I thought this was important enough to print out and save for TWENTY YEARS!!!

Cannot tell you how many times I’ve been on the phone with Hank and it’s clear he isn’t listening and then I say you’re not listening and then he says, “Hold on someone on the Internet is wrong about something.”

You just got reblogged and commented on by John Green! Be honored !

I see your shifting gaze, that disgusted glance. I know you’re questioning my parenting from across the elementary school assembly.

Let me tell you a little story about the kindergarten student with bright purple hair, my little Raven Marie…

A month before school started she decided to play hair stylist with the craft scissors, and to save what was left I had to opt for a pixie cut. She was absolutely devastated. It was about three hours before she stopped her harsh sobbing and hiccups.

Why?

She has thought that the length of a girls hair was what made her “girly”. I know I’ve personally had many hairstyles around her before, including a purple mohawk, which many people criticized as not being “girly” enough. Media, other children, other parents, and society made it worse. She would randomly burst in tears while out in public for the first week of her new style, screaming that she looked like a boy. That everyone would think she’s a boy.

At one point she took off her bow in her hair, threw it at a cashier and screamed, “I DON’T NEED THIS BOW TO TELL YOU THAT I’M NOT A BOY, BECAUSE I’M NOT”

Proudly stomping away in her blue jean overalls, head held high.

Once we edged closer to the first day of school she kept asking questions like, “Do you think the other kids will like me? Do you think they’ll be my friend? Will they think I’m a boy? Will they pick on me because I have boy hair?”

So I went to the grocery store, bought some dye, and spent the whole night transforming my bright blonde little girl into a plum punk rock fairy. I then assured her that if any of the kids didn’t like her, they were just jealous.

As for you, mothers and teachers with the wandering eyes filled with disgust and judgement, I’m in the business of raising a free spirit.

Here’s to you, Raven Marie. I love you.

Look at how fucking adorable that kid is holy fucking shit
